Our five step restoration

STEP 1

Finding the Right Donor Car for You

Finding a suitable donor car to convert into your dream car is a crucial step in our process. We select several potential donor cars, and after mutual consultation, you purchase the donor car and bring it to us for restoration and electric conversion. The result is a car that surpasses its original quality in terms of durability and performance, thanks to our meticulous and professional methodology.

STEP 2

Stripping the old paint

The stripping of a body is done in a caustic soda bath at a temperature of about 80° Celsius. 

All the paint, sealant, tectyl and putty is dissolved during this bath. 

The average treatment time is approx. 3 days. 

In the meantime, the bodywork is checked meticulously. When the bodywork is bare (stripped), it is hosed clean, dried and checked by hand for any residue. Lye does not react with ferrous metals and is therefore harmless to the bodywork. 

 

STEP 3

Derusting

The derusting of a car body is done in a phosphoric acid bath at about 50° Celsius.

Phosphoric acid’s main properties are that it neutralizes the caustic soda and after it dries it becomes a solid, so it never becomes liquid again!

After this acid bath we double check the whole chassis and restore the bodywork where needed.

STEP 4

KTL coating for optimal conservation

To protect the stripped and derusted material from rust in an optimal way we offer the application of a KTL coating.

KTL (or Cataphoresis) stands for ‘Kathodische Tauch Lackierung’ and is a highly rust-resistant, adhesive coating by means of an immersion bath system.
It also treats hard-to-reach places such as hollow spaces and skin seams.

One of the preparatory process steps is zinc phosphating of the material so that optimum protection against rust is achieved.

With this final step we ensure that there is no chance of rust development in the future.

STEP 5

Painting

After this thorough restoration, we repaint the car with the best quality paints in the desired color and specifications to suit your specific needs.

Then the car is fully polished and the bodywork is given an additional layer of protection by the Gyeon Certified Coating if desired.

After this, the complete restoration of the car can begin.

STEP 6

Rebuilding

Then we rebuild the car, thoroughly examining every part, renewing or overhauling everything needed so that the car is top finished according to your ultimate wishes.

In any case, the car will get a new or rebuilt suspension, new suspension, new steering, own design custom sweeping, new steering wheel, new upholstery chosen by you, new powerful electric motor, new air conditioning and of course a top of the line music system controlled from your mobile phone, the phone will be attached to a magnetic charger in the console, so that other apps will remain easily visible to you as well (waze, flitsmeister, coyotte, google maps, phone, whatsapp, …)

After that the engine is programmed according to your wishes. We can program two modes for each car so that the driving can be completely adapted to your style or that of your partner. Do you want soft and comfortable driving or do you want a boost.

STEP 7

Electrification

The electric drivetrain is supplied by Tesla, the world’s leading designer and manufacturer of electric motors. Their drivetrains are recognized for their outstanding performance and reliability.

We have placed the electric motor at the rear. The batteries are distributed between the front and rear to achieve optimal weight distribution. The limited-slip differential and power steering ensure a modern driving experience.

The motor is programmed according to your preferences. We can program two modes for each car, allowing the driving experience to be fully tailored to your style or that of your partner. Do you prefer a smooth and comfortable ride, or do you want a sporty drive with a boost?
